Opendime 3-Pack
Bearer USB Bitcoin sticks: load once, pass like a physical bill, snap to spend. Trust-minimised cash.
Overview
Opendime is Bitcoin's closest thing to a physical banknote. Each one is a small USB stick that generates a private key inside itself that no one — not even you — can see while the device is sealed. You load Bitcoin to its address, and from then on the stick is a bearer instrument: whoever physically holds it controls the coins, and you can pass it hand to hand like cash. To spend, you "pop" a seal which exposes the private key, and you sweep the funds. This 3-pack gives you three such bearer sticks.
The strength is genuinely trust-minimised, offline handoff: you can give someone Bitcoin in person with no app, no chain interaction at the moment of transfer, and no counterparty. It's clever, tactile and great for tips, gifts or physical trades. The caveats are important. Trusting an unpopped Opendime means trusting that the key really was generated privately and hasn't been tampered with, so accept them only from trusted sources and verify. Once popped, the key is exposed and the device is effectively spent. It's for smaller "cash" amounts, not deep cold storage.
Buy the 3-pack if you want to hand over Bitcoin physically and offline, for gifting, tipping or in-person trades. For long-term savings, a hardware wallet with your own seed is the right tool.

Opendime 3-Pack: frequently asked questions
How do I verify one I received?
An Opendime shows its address while sealed and lets you confirm it's unpopped. Still, only accept them from parties you trust, since a tampered device is a risk with any bearer instrument.
What happens when I pop it?
Popping physically exposes the private key so you can sweep the balance into a wallet you control. After that the device is considered spent.
Is it good for long-term storage?
No. It's designed as physical cash for smaller amounts and in-person transfer, not as deep cold storage — use a hardware wallet with your own seed for savings.
Do I need a computer to load it?
You send Bitcoin to its displayed address like any other, and it exposes files over USB for status; a device with a USB port helps for checking and sweeping.
