The BitBox02 Multi edition is the same well-regarded Swiss hardware wallet as the Bitcoin-only model, but with firmware that also supports Ethereum and ERC-20 tokens alongside Bitcoin. If you want the BitBox's clean design, open-source firmware, and friendly app but hold more than just Bitcoin, this is the version to buy.

Physically and operationally it's identical to its sibling: a slim USB-C stick with a touch-slider and OLED screen, keys held on-device behind a PIN and backed by a secure element, and on-device transaction confirmation. It keeps the convenient microSD backup option and pairs with the open-source BitBoxApp, one of the more approachable companion apps around. Made by BitBox (formerly Shift Crypto), it has a solid reputation for build quality and support.

The honest trade-off versus the Bitcoin-only edition is exactly what you'd expect: adding multi-coin support means more firmware and a slightly larger attack surface. It's a small, reasonable trade if you genuinely need Ethereum and tokens; if you only hold Bitcoin, prefer the Bitcoin-only edition. Like its sibling, it's a wired device, not air-gapped, so it isn't the pick for someone who insists on camera/QR isolation. But as an open-source, easy-to-use multi-coin wallet, the BitBox02 Multi is a strong all-rounder.
