Berlin, August 11, 2021 - Blockchain based banking platform Nuri has been actively expanding its diverse leadership team - and today announced that Vidya Mani has joined the executive team as Chief Technology Officer.

Vidya will drive the company's tech strategy as well as the further development of an agile and innovative work environment. Her focus will be on scaling a high-performing tech organization at the fintech while maintaining high levels of efficiency and product quality. Nuri offers the world's first banking service that combines a full German bank account with access to cryptocurrencies, digital assets and blockchain-based financial services. To provide the services, Nuri is working with Solarisbank AG as well as Solaris Digital Assets GmbH, which provides the banking infrastructure.

Vidya brings 20+ years of experience in the tech industry. Prior to joining Nuri, Vidya Mani served as Vice President of Engineering at Ripple, leading enterprise blockchain solutions for global payments.

At Ripple she led the scaling RippleNet, a next-generation payments network using blockchain technologies. Prior to Ripple, in her role as Director of Engineering, Payments and Data at Paypal's Braintree, she drove development and growth of the international payments and data platforms. Prior to that, she held the role of lead developer at software company ThoughtWorks. She was also named one of the Top 25 Most Influential Women in Payments in 2020 by PaymentsSource.

"Vidya brings extensive experience in numerous dimensions of tech leadership: meaningful expertise in blockchain & crypto, agile working methods and engineering, as well as experience in leading large fintech organizations.

In her new role, Vidya will help us best position Nuri for the next phases of growth and continue to establish a modern leadership culture: A truly diverse leadership team is an absolute priority for a young, progressive company like Nuri, because it enables us to lead our teams with empathy. I'm delighted that we were able to win Vidya as CTO for Nuri," says Nuri CEO Kristina Walcker-Mayer.

"Most traditional and mobile banks fail to deliver intuitive, user-friendly investment solutions. Nuri steps in where banks reach their limits and creates smart solutions that help customers proactively shape their personal financial future in a simple way, leveraging the power of blockchain. I am excited to continue working on innovative product and technology solutions as part of Nuri, contributing and expanding my own expertise," says Nuri CTO Vidya Mani.
